About Me

Born in Lansing, Michigan and raised outside Chicago.  Huge sports fan for as long as I can remember.  My first real sports memory was watching the 1989 World Series.  I was a huge Jose Canseco fan......I know, I know.  The earthquake was unforgettable.  My mom is a huge hockey fan, and I definitely followed in those footsteps.  Aside from being the most beautiful sport there is, it's also one of the more brutal.  That's about as good of a combination as you can find.  The Detroit Red Wings are my team, mainly because of Steve Yzerman.  I have his number tattooed on my arm right above the Wings logo.  "The Captain" was just that, the best captain in the history of sports.  He took over at a young age and led that team for 23 years.  All while becoming a three time Stanley Cup champion, 6th all-time in points, 8th in goals, and 7th in assists.  There is no better athlete to look up to then Stevie Y.  I worked for a while with a company that frequently held autograph sessions with top athletes, so I've had the privilege to meet some real characters.  I now live in Warrenville, IL a small suburb about 40 miles outside Chicago.
